Fun, fun, fun.....busy, busy, busy!!!

Where have we been? Well, Jeremy and I have been in California!!!! It was totally amazing!

I am just putting a few pics the highlights of our trip because it takes super long to upload all my pics.

Night 1, Jeremy and I spent the night in Chicago. We spent nights 2, 3, 4 at my aunt and uncle's house. We then ended out trip at a hotel in LA on Night 5 (our anniversary).

Day 1, we headed to the Santa Monica Pier. We ate some AMAZING corndogs, and walked the pier.
We saw the cutest little boys performing on the pier. They were singing "Mony, Mony". It was adorable! I think these two needs to be on Ellen :)

We then headed down Venice Beach, where we saw a whole slew of crazies! This was the roller skating guitar player. He was a hit!

On the way to their house, we drove a very beautiful scenic route. It was AMAZING!!!

That night, we met up with my cousin Jordan, my cousin Brad and his girlfriend Candice, and two of Brad's friends at a mexican restaurant by their house. It had yummy food, and giant margaritas! Yum, yum!!!

Day 2, we headed to Santa Barbara to visit wine country. We had lots of wine, and great scenery!

We visited Fess Parker's winery. He was the real Daniel Boone....like our coon-skinned caps!

Day3, Jeremy and I headed to Hollywood Blvd. to see the walk of stars. We walked the whole thing. You wouldn't think it was very long, but it was!

We saw so many famous stars!!!

Speaking of famous stars, we just so happened to run into the Top 13 American Idols :)

And......I just so happned to get my pic taken with a couple of them. Here I am with James!

That night we got to watch my cousin Jordan (#9), play in her Powder Puff game :) She was brutal out there!

Day 4, we headed to Fox Studios, where my uncle works, for a tour. I was star struck the whole time. We didn't run into anyone famous, but being on the property was so amazing.

My uncle got us access to the set of HOUSE. Here we are in front of House's office. And yes, we went in it. We were ALL OVER that set!!! It made me want to cry!

On our last night there, Jeremy and I stayed at a hotel in LA. We got our room upgraded to a suite for no extra charge. With this upgrade, we got VIP access, which included access to the VIP lounge. That night we headed to a FANCY restaurant, in which we enjoyed a bottle of wine given to us from my aunt and uncle, and a FANTASTIC dinner! It was our 8 year anniversary!

We had the time of our lives in LA....thank you so much Aunt Kathi, Uncle Mike, Jordan, and Brad (Zach..we are glad you are back from London, hope to see you soon)! Also a huge thanks to my mother, who was my girls' caretaker for 5 days. She did an amazing job!!!! She is an amazing woman! Jeremy and I had a great time, and felt so much love when our little girls ran to us and wrapped their tiny arms around our necks! I love my family!!!!!

My Little Singer!

Who said this little girl may never talk....who said this little girl would never be a singer?

This is what goes on with my girls when no one is watching. Macy tells Big Mac to be quiet, removes her hand from the piano, Big Mac cries, Macy breaks into a Justin Bieber song, and then realizes Daddy is watching! So cute!!!!

Enjoy! Have a great weekend....I know we will (Jeremy and I are heading to California)!!!!!!

New Look!

So I heard a lot of my readers thought I was pregnant, lol! Sorry to disappoint you all, but that is not the case. BUT don't you totally love my new blog look! It has taken months to get it all put together, but we are SO HAPPY with how it turned out! We owe it all to Jennisa who owns Once Upon a Blog. If you are in need of a new look for your blog, I highly recommend her :)

I know I haven't been blogging as much as usual. If you hadn't heard already, I am now attending graduate school to get my masters in Early Childhood Studies. I already have a bachelor's in Elementary Education, so this is the next step in my professional climb. With this degree, I will be able to remain in securely in my current position as a developmental therapist...which is a long story, work as a director at a preschool, pursue behavioral therapy, or work toward getting certification to become a child life specialist for a children's hospital.....and many more. The ones I mentioned are definitely things I would love to possibly pursue.

With that being said, I have been swamped with school work. Mainly because I am trying to get 2 weeks worth of work done this week because Jeremy and I are leaving for vacation! Where are we going???? We are heading to California!!!! We aren't taking the kids, and that is extremely difficult for me. I have only been away from Macy for 2 days...and that was so I could give birth to McKenna. The kids will be with my mother, so that makes my departure so much easier! She knows their schedules without me having to write it down, she knows Macy meds as well as I do, and she also knows all of her docs, and emergency procedures (should Macy have any hypoglycemic episodes or asthma issues). AND McKenna just goes with the flow (just like her Daddy).

Also this week, Macy graduates from preschool! There will be tears a plenty....my baby is growing up. She is becoming such a wonderful, fun, sweet, tender hearted, social, funny young lady. We are so proud of all her accomplishments, and cherish each and every day that God has blessed our lives with her presence.

Well, time to head to bed, so I can get up and get busy with my crazy week!

Have a wonderful week!

Big Mac in the House!

Today McKenna had her 1st surgery (and let's pray LAST). McKenna went in to have tubes placed in her ears for all of her recurrent ear infections. For those of you that don't already know, she has had 3 double ear infections from February through April. They were so bad that she was getting dizzy and becoming off balance when walking.

I bet a lot of people thought we were newbies to surgery since McKenna is only 17 months old and has no history of any health problems. Little did they know, today's surgery marked #20 for Jeremy and I to attend for our children (yes, 19 of which were for Macy). This was, BY FAR, the easiest of the 20. McKenna left us to go to the OR at 10:32, surgeon came back at 10:43 to tell us he was done, and we were out of there by 11:00 to head home. Crazy! She left us crying (and holding her breath), but came back to us a cuddly sleepy head.

Here are some pics from our day!

Big sister Macy hugging McKenna bye....and telling her she would pray for her :)

Seriously Lady, take these things off of me or else!

Who designed this outfit? They should be fired!

Hi Mommy and Daddy!

Peek-A-Boo!

Sending out some tweets about my surgery.

Big Mac in the house!! Whoot, whoot!

Awwww.....our sweet sleeping little girl.

Heading home!!! Finally got something to drink :)

Sorry no Food Fanatic Friday this week......I really wanted to update about Big Mac's surgery for those who have been praying!

Have a great weekend! Happy Mother's Day for all you mothers out there!
