Ghost Lady

Do you believe in ghosts? I do! Let me explain why.

6 years ago on our anniversary, Jeremy and I headed down to Gatlingburg for a romantic, fun getaway. On our second night there, around 1 am, I started dreaming about a freaky ghost lady attacking me. I have very vivid dreams, and trust me it was very vivid!

This is who I saw!



I never sleep walk, but this night I was up fighting! She was clawing at my face and hair, and I was clawing back!!!! I was trying to pry her hands off of me and push her away....I ended up wrapped in the sheet like a burrito at the end of the bed.....STILL fighting.


When I ripped the covers off the bed during this fight, it woke Jeremy up! Jeremy wakes to see me wrapped in the sheet, standing at the foot of the bed, and started yelling, "Someone's in our room....Someone's in our room!!!!"



Needless to say, his screaming woke me up! I unwrapped myself in a fury and started yelling too. I began to tell him that it was a woman who attacked me! At this point I thought I was really attacked and couldn't distinguish reality from fantasy. Especially after he saw "someone" too. Jeremy soon realized that what he saw was ME. I wasn't convinced. I was sure that there really was a freaky woman in our room! I made him search everything, and then I refused to sleep the rest of the night. Let me tell you this....I am still convinced that she was a ghost lady, and she was REALLY MAD at me for some reason. I will never return to that hotel again!

Pranksters!

I know to some people pranks are totally annoying, but I love them.....of course only if they aren't harmful to others. Seriously, we all need a little laughter in our lives!

Sit-n-Stand

Check out the new stroller that I purchased, brand new, on EBay. It is normally $249 in the store, I won it for $66. EBay is the way to go!

This stroller is perfect for a mother of two. As you can see, McKenna's car seat can go up front, and Macy can ride in the back. When McKenna has the ability to sit up, she can sit in the seat that is under the car seat holder.

Macy decided to demonstrate the 3 different ways that she can ride in the Sit-N-Stand stroller. She placed her baby in the car seat so that you could get the real picture of what we look like strolling around in this puppy! Isn't Macy just too cute!?!?!?! And YES, she's sporting the side ponytail!!

Fun With Macy's Camera

We discovered an amazing ability with Macy's camera. The ability to make eachother look weird! Last night, we sat around for a good 30 minutes playing with it, and even pulled it out today in the waiting room at the doctor's office and in the car!

My Little Penguin

It was Penguin Day at Macy's school on Wednesday. Macy had so much fun dressing in black and white. Check out those penguin feet!




When I went to picked her up, her classroom was decorated like an igloo. She ran out (this child does NOT walk), and was so proud to show me her baby penguin. It was a little yellow egg. She carried it all the way home, being very careful not to drop it. When we got home, she told me all about penguins. One fact being that they live in Florida! Didn't know that one! Then she showed me, in the correct way, how they carry their eggs. It was so cute!





She then proceeded to tell me that her egg was cold. So she picked it up, put it down her shirt, and said, "There, it's warm now!"

Oh how I love this child!!!!!!!

Leave Your Eyes Alone!

When they came out with colored/printed contact lenses, I was freaked out. It is just weird to see people with pupils that are red, white, look like soccer balls, or are printed in bullseyes!

You won't BELIEVE this.......they are now tattooing the whites of their eyes. It started with two men in prison. They first tried to tattoo with a typical tattoo gun, but the color didn't stick. Therefore they started using a hypodermic needle, and it stuck. One now has blue eyes and the other red. The gentleman below is getting his eyes tattooed blue.

And even crazier looking, they now have jewelry for contact lenses. Now doesn't that look creepy, or painful! What would happen if that got caught on something?!?!?! I don't want to picture that!

Swimmers Rule!

Today was the first day of Macy's swimming lessons. Considering she had never been in the water before last summer, she did a fantastic job!!!! Her teacher even commented that Macy was a great swimmer, and even called her a fish! We were so proud! Here are some of her photos and a short video!

After spending some time talking with her about strangers. I gave her the permission to bite if she was ever in that situation. She looked at me and said, "bite?" I replied, "Yes, you may bite them." Macy asked, "Will I go to jail?"

Okay, so the trach really gives it away! But, WOW...don't my girls look alike?!?!?!

Cherry Crisp

How many of you love those quick, easy, guest pleasing desserts? Well, this is one of them! In the VanVleet house, we love those desserts that you can decide on the spur of the moment that you want to eat. Those desserts that you can just whip up in an instant when you have unplanned guests.


All you need to have in your house is:


1 can cherry filling
1 box of Jiffy golden yelllow cake mix
1/2 stick of butter




Place the cherry filling in the bottom of a 9 X 9 pan.



Place the yellow cake mix on top of the cherry filling.

Melt your butter, and then pour it over the top of the cake mix.

Bake at 400* for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
