Jeremy really focused on serving sizes, calories, and exercising. He ran 5-6 times this week, which isn't abnormal for him. He just had a hard time doing that during the holidays.
The hardest part for me was that I was desperately wanting some chocolate. ANY CHOCOLATE! Brownies sounded nice, cookies sounded amazing! Today at Meijer, Jeremy and I discovered a yummy, yummy snack. Jell-O makes a chocolate mousse. It's sugar free and is only 60 calories. It tastes like eating a chocolate pie!!! So that helped satisfy my hunger for chocolate today :)
For Jeremy the hardest part was not getting up at dinner for 2nds. He has quickly learned to take 1/2 of his serving, eat it, and then get back up for his second 1/2 of his serving. Therefore he feels like he is getting 2nds :)
We made a rule that we were not allowed to get on the scale all week....it was killing me. I told Jeremy if I got on that scale today and I didn't lose any weight that I was going to cry. WELL......I didn't have to cry!!!! I lost 3.5 lbs in the last week. Oddly enough, Jeremy also lost 3.5 lbs. But when you look at total percentage of weight loss, I have him beat! So looks like he better pull off more weight than me next week in order to get a little closer to my huge lead! We were both proud of ourselves. We didn't work too hard, just gave up some of our guilty pleasures....and it totally paid off :)
Well, I am off to eat some air popped popcorn (1 cup is only 31 calories)!!!!
