Our Family and Beyond: Changes Happening

Why can't time just stand still for a little while?  Our children, as well as our nieces and nephews just keep growing up and changing so much!  Here is a picture of the Taylor grandkids from a couple of years ago.

Here is a picture of the Taylor grandkids last weekend!  Taylor is now 17, has a boyfriend and a driver's license.  Brock is 14.  He spent his summer working as an umpire and mowing lawns.  He has now started training for football season. Mallory is 13 (almost 14).  She is a super athlete!  She plays travel softball and volleyball.  Darcy is 6 (almost 7).  She just finished her kindergarten year, and is so excited to start first grade.  She also played minor ball this year and will start softball next year.  Where has the time gone?

Here are a couple more pictures of Taylor and Brock, and Mallory and Darcy. They are all such great kids, and I am very proud to be their aunt!

Our nephew Eli is now 3 year old, and will be 4 in November!  Every time the kids are together, we all can't get over how much McKenna and Eli look alike.  I guess they both have some VanVleet in them.

We have some really great news!  Jeremy's sister, Jessica, and her husband are expecting their 2nd child.  Elijah is going to be a big brother to a little sister!  The whole family is so excited to welcome this baby girl into the family, and we are suspecting if she looks like her brother she might look just like McKenna.

My sweet grandparents made a big move last fall!  They are now living 5 minutes down the road from my parents' house in Florida.  Moving from Arizona to Florida is a big move, and we are so happy they have done it!  I know my parents love it, and it now gives us more opportunities to visit them more often.

Not only did they take on the challenge of a big move, but my grandparents are now facing another challenge. My grandmother was recently diagnosed with ALS.  We are all saddened by this, but she couldn't have a more positive outlook.  She is amazing, and is adamant about doing as much as she can for as long as she is able to.  She is a strong woman, and I am so proud of her.  My grandfather is also doing an amazing job helping my grandmother in so many ways.  I know this is very hard on them.  I love them so much!  We have plans to travel to Florida in October to spend some more time with them.  The girls are so excited!
