I can't even begin to describe how amazing Macy's Make-a-Wish trip was! We had the most incredible vacation that we have ever had. Our family had a relaxing, stress free vacation that was filled of love, laughter, and happiness. It was something we truly needed, and is even more appreciated after our week this week in Chicago. Make-a-Wish took care of every thing, and thought of so many details that enhanced our trip so much! Disney was also amazing, and Sara from guest services treated our family like royalty.
Here are some of the amazing highlights from our trip:
- We traveled to and from the airport in a limo. That was a first for Jeremy and the girls!
- We all swam with the dolphins. We pet them, held their fins, danced with them, kissed them, swam belly to belly with them, were pushed on a boogie board, and got to see a 2 month old calf interact with his mother. It was unbelievable!
- We met 3 other Wish families, and even had a private party with all of them and Mickey Mouse.
- We had special snacks delivered to our room each afternoon, and enjoyed them while we got ready for dinner.
- Our dinners were amazing! Disney Cruise Lines has rotational dining, so we got to rotate between 3 restaurants (that were beautiful, and fun). Our waiters followed us to the different restaurants so we had the same servers each night. Our servers Sanoj and Sandy were so sweet to the girls!
- We got to meet 25 different characters including many princesses, Elsa and Anna, Captain Jack Sparrow, Stitch, Minnie, Mickey, etc. Lines were very minimal, and some of our meetings were set up as meet and greets.
- The girls went to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. They got their hair styled, makeup done, nails painted, and new dresses. Macy is at that age now, that I think it was the final time she would want to do it, so it was great to have that one last time to see my sweet girl all dressed like a princess.
- The girls were invited to get introduced by Cinderella and enter down the big stairway like Cinderella did at her first Royal Ball. They then danced with Cinderella.
- We went to an AMAZING Royal Court Tea Party. The girls had some one-on-one time with the princesses and were give some amazing gifts.
- We went to Disney's private island called Castaway Cay. It was beautiful! We relaxed on the beach, as well as floated around on tubes, snorkeled, and then rode bikes around the island.
- The ship had pirate night. We dressed in bandanas, watched an amazing pirate show, and then out in the middle of the ocean the ship shot fireworks into the sky. It was so neat!
- The shows were unbelievable! Full costume, full sets, things falling from the ceiling over the audience, and characters flying through the sky.
- The girls loved the Oceaneers Club. It is a club for kids only. They went a few times for activities or just to hang out. They would've went more if we would have let them, lol. Jeremy and I appreciated the random few hours for just the two of us.
- McKenna loved it so much, that she cried the last day multiple times. She cried at dinner, she cried at the show that night, and then cried at bedtime. She kept saying, "I can't even look at anything that has Mickey Mouse on it!" It was so sweet!
We want to send out the biggest, most heart-felt thank you to Make-a-Wish! It is amazing what they did for our family! It was such a blessing, and something we really needed!
