All The Way From Arizona

What a fun, fun weekend we had when my grandparents came to visit! These two drove all the way from Arizona. I am 29 years old, and there is still no feeling like the feeling you get waiting for your grandparents to arrive. I was watching for them through our windows, like a little kid waiting on the icecream truck.

Growing up, my grandpa was one of the silliest men I had ever met, and he still is! He is so much fun! Macy absolutely loved him! I could hear the two of them through the monitors when they were playing upstairs. She would tell him, do this, do that, and he would! At one point I heard him crying like a baby and saying, "I want my Mommy". She had obviously talked him into playing "baby". Macy also designated him as her "potty buddy", and would make him go with her to the restroom. She made him sit on a little wooden stool in the bathroom and would tell him , "Don't move!" Maybe she thought if she let him out of her sight he would disappear.

Here they are playing "store". I guess she must be buying herself, lol!

My grandma has always been one of the sweetest, most caring women I know. She is an amazing mother to my mom and Aunt Kathi, and a wonderful grandmother to her 5 grandkids. If I ever need some good advice, she is the woman to call! I loved spending the weekend chatting about being a mommy. I loved to hear all about when she had little ones. Macy also never let Grandma sit down. If she wasn't grabbing her hand and dragging her upstairs to play, she was bringing puzzle after puzzle to her to get her help. It was so cute!

As you can see, she also ran to Grandma when she had a boo boo! Grandma has that nurturing touch :)

McKenna doesn't do well with most other people who aren't ME. Well, McKenna shocked us all, and LOVED these two right away!

Here she is playing peek-a-boo with Grandma.

Here's Big Mac cuddling up to Grandpa :)

It had been a year since we had seen them last. Once they got here, it felt like we were never apart! I sooooo wish we could see them more often. I miss them so much already....and so do my girls!
