Oooolala! Yum Yum!

A few weeks ago, Jeremy and I had "date" night! We headed to my favorite restaurant on earth....The Melting Pot! It is amazing to me the number of people that I run into that have never had The Melting Pot experience.

Therefore, I thought if you have never been, or may never go, I would share with you the spectacular feast you get to experience during this dining extravaganza.
First you start with a cheese fondue. My favorite cheese is the Wisconsin Trio. It is a rich blend of Fontina, Butterkase and Buttermilk Bleu cheeses with white wine, fresh scallions, and a hint of sherry. They mix the cheese at your table, and it is accomplanied by fresh vegetables (carrots, cauliflower, and celery), an assortment of breads (french, rye, and pumpernickel), and fresh chunks of Granny Smith apples.

After you finish that tasty cheese portion, you then get to engulf in a fresh salad. I must say the caesar salad it excellent! There are lots of other salads for you to choose from if you like to take more a risk than me.

Just when you think you are starting to get full, out comes your entree. Depending on what you choose as your entree, you will most likely have a mix of beef, fish, chicken, and pork. You will cook these items in your chosen broth. My favorite is the Coq Au Vin. As a side to your meat selection, you are also given broccoli, red potatoes, squash, and mushroom caps. I can eat the mushroom caps by the bowlfull. Some of the sauces given to you to dip your meats and veggies in include, green goddess, teriyaki glaze, ginger plum, and a mild, yogurt based curry. Yum yum!

Can you be in heaven? Not yet, because next comes your chocolate. You can choose from many different chocolate combinations starting with white, milk, or dark chocolate which can be mixed with Amaretto, oreos, marshmallow, graham crackers, etc. Then you are given the most heavenly mix of tasty treats to dip! This includes, strawberries, bananas, pound cake, cheese cake, rice krispie treats, brownies, and marshmallows rolled in graham crackers and oreos. Ooooolala!!!!

Needless to say, you have to roll out of the restaurant, and ride home with your pants unzipped, but it is well worth it! If you have never been........make it a "date" and go!!!!
