Why?????
I am having an ultrasound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chances are, we'll be able to find out the gender of "Baby Peanut" at that time. I am meeting with the maternal specialist at my OB who will perform the extensive ultrasound. She will repeat an ultrasound 3-4 weeks after that to look closer at the heart since it will be bigger. It sounds like I will still have a fetal echo no matter what at Riley Hospital around 22-24 weeks. Wow!!!! Lots of ultrasounds in such a short amount of time!
Anyway, Baby Peanut is now 14 weeks, 3 days....the size of a lemon!
Our adorable little peanut is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.
So, pray for us as we go for this BIG ultrasound. We are excited, nervous, anxious, scared, etc, etc, etc. We just want to hear one word...."healthy"!!!! Macy is just wanting to hear one word too....."sissa". Anyway, please send your prayers our way, and we will update after our big day!
